Bentonville is in the middle or nowhere, dead center of small town America, but don’t let that deter you from making this town a must visit.
Bentonville, is a vibing, eclectic city and the birthplace of Walmart. The city is a mix of oldschool and modern. It boasts the cutest shops, eateries and even has a town square.
The Best Dessert Spot In Bentonville, Arkansas
When Germaine and I were there we strolled through the farmers market and stopped for ice-cream at The Spark Cafe which is part ice-cream shop, in the Walmart Museum. In addition to the Spark Cafe we stopped at a cute handcrafted chocolate shop called Markham & Fitz Chocolate.
Markham & Fitz Chocolate
For dessert we went to Markham & Fitz Chocolate for a tasting tour in the chocolate factory. At Markham & Fitz Chocolate all of the chocolates are hand made. The open kitchen allows you to watch as they pour chocolate into the molds to make their sweet confections.
In addition to chocolate bars, you will find cookies, truffles, chocolate for baking and chocolate beverages.
Markham & Fitz imports chocolate from all over the world to make up a wide variety of chocolate flavors. During the tasting we tried chocolate made from Nicaragua, Haiti and more.
We were also able to experience the tasting process from how chocolate begins as a nib, then into its liquid chocolate form and then the chocolate bar.
If you are a foodie or wanna be foodie who likes learning about the foods you enjoy, Markham & Fitz Chocolate is a great dessert destination in Bentonville, Arkansas.
