This post screams, “Just give me all of the veggies!”. That’s exactly how I was feeling the week I made this Steak, Quinoa and Vegetable Bowl. I had just done my grocery shopping via grocery delivery so my refrigerator was jam packed with fresh produce. I had also boiled up some quinoa earlier in the week in anticipation of using it in this weeks meals.
Quinoa is such a versatile grain that easily digestible. Quinoa, pronounced (keen-wa), is rich in protein, dietary fiber, B vitamins, and dietary minerals making it the perfect addition to any healthy meal plan.
What does Quinoa taste like?
Quinoa is virtually tasteless. If you’ve ever had cooked rice boiled in water with no additions, that’s Quinoa. And just like rice, Quinoa can be flavored any way you desire. The texture of Quinoa is a bit soft like rice, but also chewy like brown rice. So it has a firmness and softness that give dishes texture in your mouth.
The little seeds have quickly become a favorite staple of mine for its ease to prepare, nutritional value and versatility.
When I used it to create this Steak, Quinoa and Vegetable Bowl I paired it fresh vegetables that I then tossed in salad dressing.
Here’s what I put in my Steak, Quinoa and Vegetable Bowl.
✨3 colored bell pepper strips
✨italian salad dressing
Once everything was tossed I dug in and lemme tell YOU…I was not disappointed at all!
Everything in the bowl worked well together from the fresh sweet mango chunks to the spicy jalapeño. And if the flavors weren’t enough, just looking at the bold colors on my fork made me feel like I was giving my body the fuel it needed for me to thrive.
I think by now you’re thinking about making this for yourself. If you do, make sure to take a picture and tag me in it on social media. I’m @apronsandstilletos on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
