Did ya’ll miss me? I left town for spring break and headed to back to New Jersey to see my oldest son. My husband, the kids and I flew out of Columbia on Friday afternoon and arrived in New Jersey Friday evening. We were all looking forward to seeing Jr. and to a change of scenery. The time on the plane and the ride up to the school was such a great bonding time. If you’ve never been to Princeton University I’ll tell you they have some of the best spots to take pictures. Every time we go I use it as a chance to take lot’s of updated family photos — so of course I wanted to look my best.
On the Friday before we left town I treated myself to an afternoon of pampering at a new nail shop and went by my favorite natural hair salon. I wanted my hair to be fuss free and I didn’t want to have to paint my nails before leaving. I always say I’ll do it, get busy and travel with raggedy nails. This time I wasn’t taking any chances so I turned those tasks over to the professionals and I’m so glad I did. It had been a year since having either professional service done and afterward I knew it had been way too long. I got a simple acrylic set and I had my hair straitened. I was definitely feeling myself seeing how great my hair and nails looked.
My hair and nails held up well so on the day of our flight I only had to pick my clothes, pack and touch up my root color. I misted my roots using Everpro Beauty Gray Away for Men & Women Temporary Root Concealer Spray in Black/Dark Brown to blend my newest silver strands.
It’s been a few weeks since I colored my roots but because my hair grows fast the gray was back. The Temporary Root Concealer Spray did the trick, gave my hair a uniform color from root to tips and the touch up lasted the entire trip.
For my inexpensive root touch ups I use Gray Away. It’s available online or in-store at Walmart, CVS Pharmacy, and ULTA Beauty. You can check out the ibotta app to earn cash back on the purchase of Gray Away at Walmart right now too!
