We took my 15, 13 and 12 year old to Disney World thinking they wouldn’t have a good time and they loved it. We’d gone to Disney a few years ago when they were still in elementary and only visited Magic Kingdom. We’d gone for Christmas thinking the weather would be amazing, but there was a terrible cold snap and we froze our buns off at the park.
This time, we got to visit all of the parks and my kids fell in love with Disney even though they arent little kids.
Not only did my teens love this ride, so did my husband and I. It’s spine tingling, heart dropping and bone chillingly scary. The drop make you want to just die. The walk leading up to ride is amazing and really sets the stage. We rode this ride during the day and night and each experience was uniquely amazing.
2. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – Hollywood Studios
This the funnest, fastest ride in Hollywood studios. It goes from zero to heart stoppping fast in seconds and as you can tell from our faces, we enoying every minute of it.
3. Space Mountain – Magic Kingdom
Space mountian will forever me a favorite for our teens. It’s the first big kid rides they can remember getting on the very first time we visited Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The ride is so fun as you zoom through outer space. This ride really makes you really like you are traveling throug galaxies on a space ship.
4. Test Track – EPCOT
With this ride we get to put our ideas to the test by creating our own virtual vehicles. It’s usually the girls against the guys or the parents against the kids. We team up to create a virtual car before the ride, then get to test to see who’s car would win in a race.
5. Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain – Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is one of our favorite parks and we’ve come to love this ride. The walk leading up to it replcates a trek through Mt Everest. Everything on the way up to the ride looks so realistic. Then the ride it’s self is a thrilling journey through the Himalayas with lot’s of surprising events along the way.
6. Dinasour – Animal Kingdom
This fun, mission based ride is full of loud noises, dark surroundings and dinosaurs. Anything that takes place in the dark is going to be scary and we loved every minute of it.
You can tell by the expressions on my teens faces what they felt about these rides. Some were super exciting while other were heart pumping. If you were thinking Walt Disney World is just for little kids, think again.
