If you’re looking for a game-day grazing board you can make in under 15-minutes, this post is for you.
Grazing boards are so easy to put together. And what will make it budget-friendly is when you pair it with the “Game Day Favorites” promotion at Publix, valid now through 2/11/22.
Publix is one of my favorite stores to shop for game day essentials. The football-inspired displays with current sale items make it easy to find what I need.
To make this dip-able grazing board you’ll need the following items from Publix. The ones with the prices listed are part of the “Game Day Favorites” promotion in the Extra Savings flyer at Publix.
- Mission Tortilla Chips, 9 or 13-oz [2 for $5]
- Mateo’s Gourmet Salsa, 16-oz [2 for $7]
- Sir Kensington’s Special Sauce, 12-oz [$4.00]
- SuperPretzel Original or Soft Pretzel Bites, 12–13-oz [2 for $6]
- 2 Hass Avocados From Mexico [$1 OFF 4 W/ MFR DIGITAL COUPON]
- Small onion
- 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
My favorite part of this dip board is how flavorful it is and how it has crunchy and chewy grains for dipping. The SuperPretzel is soft and chewy, so it just soaks up Mateo’s Gourmet Salsa, Sir Kensington’s Special Sauce, and guacamole I paired it with. The Mission Tortilla Chips work to add that crunch to the board while creating the perfect little shovel to scoop up the dips.
To set this game day board up you’ll start by heating four SuperPretzel Original pretzels according to the instructions on the box. On my box, it said to bake at 400° for 3 to 4 minutes, so that’s what I did. I baked mine for 3 minutes, and that was the perfect amount of time to get them soft and chewy.
While the pretzels heat, you can work on the guacamole dip. If you’re not sure how to make easy guacamole, I’ve shared my recipe for you below.
On this occasion, I wanted smooth guacamole to match the smoothness of the Mateo’s Gourmet Salsa and Sir Kensington’s Special Sauce, so I added a little bit of extra virgin olive oil to mine.
Once the guacamole and pretzels are ready, it’s time to assemble to board. Dipping bowls or 4-ounce canning jars are the perfect sizes for a dip board that serves 2 to 6 people.
Just fill each bowl almost to the rim and set them in the center of your board. I like to put the pretzels on the outer edge of my rectangular board and the chips along the front. You can really do what works best for whatever shape board you’re using.
Now let’s get into the guacamole recipe.
5 Ingredient Guacamole Recipe
- 2 Avocado (peeled)
- 1/2 Small White Onion
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Add the avocados, onion, lemon juice, and salt to a food processor.
- Pulse for 60 seconds at a time until chunky. For smoother guacamole, add a tablespoon of olive oil and pulse an additional 30 seconds.
