I learned so much about homemaking and hosting get-togethers from my Mother in Law. By watching her I was able to take the best of her ideas and make them my own. Seeing what worked for her and what didn’t is how I improved my holiday entertaining in one day.
Through my observation I decided I would not make everything from scratch. Watching my mother in law make the food, beverages and desserts homemade for years only to be worn out by the time guests arrived was not something I wanted to duplicate.
I want hosting holiday events to be relaxing and enjoyable, so instead of making everything homemade, I carefully curate store bought items like the ones in my latest Holiday Entertaining BabbleBoxx.
The Holiday Entertaining BabbleBoxx includes items from Rodney Strong Wines, Dorot Gardens, Dewey’s Cookies, Franks Red Hot and a Friendsgiving hosting guide.
Here’s what was in the box!
Friendsgiving: The Official Guide to Hosting, Roasting, and Celebrating with Friends
Friendsgiving: The Official Guide to Hosting, Roasting, and Celebrating with Friends by Shoshana Stopek is compilation of recipes, entertaining tips, and group activities for holidays, special occasions, and other festivities inspired by inspired by the sitcom Friends.
The book is broken down into three parts. In part one are recipes for everything from appetizers to entrees. Part two focuses on entertaining tips, such as creating the ultimate Friendsgiving planning timeline, music playlist and DIY-ing party decorations. Lastly, part three focuses on fun games and activities you can plan during your event.
Dorot Gardens frozen herbs are a time and money saver in the kitchen year round and especially during the holidays when I am cooking for more people.
If you find yourself throwing away half a bunch of herbs and unused garlic every week, using Dorot Gardens frozen herbs could save you some money.
Each cube holds 1 tsp. of herbs so there is no peeling, no chopping, no mess and no waste. Just a simple pop the herb cube into the recipe to effortlessly season and flavor your dishes. The tray stores in the freezer so they are always ready when you need them.
Rodney Strong Wines
Rodney Strong Sonoma County Cabernet is made in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley, which provides the perfect temperatures for growing the heat loving Cabernet Sauvignon red wine grape variety. Rodney Strong planted the first Cabernet vineyard in 1971, making this a brand that has been around for over 40 years.
Rodney Strong California Chardonnay is another California wine featuring grapes from the cooler, coastal regions where green skinned Chardonnay grapes thrive.

Desserts are one of those holiday menu items I’ve stopped baking completely homemade. With so many yummy artisan options on the market it just doesn’t make sense. I tend to serve several desserts during the holidays and cookies are often one of them.
A great option are for me are the Dewey’s Cookies, baked at Dewey’s Southern hometown bakery in Winston-Salem, NC.
The Sugar Moravian and Ginger Spice Moravian Dewey’s Cookie make a great addition to a dessert grazing board or served with coffee after Christmas breakfast.
The Ginger Spice Moravian Dewey’s Cookie has the holiday flavors of brown sugar, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, and allspice you come to expect in a ginger cookie.
The Sugar Moravian Dewey’s Cookies combine full flavor vanilla with ingredients, such as finely milled wheat flour and whole eggs, to create a uniquely thin sweet treat.
Guests will be able to tell from the first bite that these are baked with real ingredients, no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
You can order online at Dewey’s Cookies and get 10% off site wide using promo code DEWEYS10. [Valid November 10 – Dec 10]
Frank’s Red Hot Almonds
Another great treat to serve at your holiday event are these Frank’s Red Hot Almonds.
They are an easy savory option to serve alone in bowl or as part of a charcuterie board.
Each almond is made with Frank’s Original Hot Sauce, giving each California Almond a savory kick of heat.
These are made with no artificial colors or flavors so you can feel good about including them in your holiday menu.
