Do it Yourself

DIY Framed Greeting Card

It doesn’t always take a lot of money to create beauty in your home. Over the years, I’ve challenged myself to find frugal ways to decorate my home. We were a one income family, by choice, for years while my children were young. We didn’t have a decor budget so I had to be really creative in my efforts to decorate my home.

I picked up on an inexpensive way to fill spaces with framed art using greeting cards.
There are so many pretty ones on the market, but I’ve never had to buy one for this type of project. Over the years, I’ve been gifted some of the nicest cards and I hated to have them sitting in a closet tucked away.

One day, I thought they might look nice in a frame.

Who would know they were greeting cards except for me. It ended up being a great way to display memories and add meaningful beauty to my home.

For this particular project, I used these cards with adorable images and inspiring quotes.

I attached it to a white sheet of paper before putting it my ten cent frame from the Goodwill.

Don’t let a shoestring budget stop you from create a home environment you love to be in.

Think outside the box and try things using stuff you have on hand.

  1. Love it! This is such a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

  2. This is such a good idea! I've kept so many cards over the years, but really have nothing to do with them. I should go through and see if any are worth framing!
