I’ve been hosting a live meal planning session on Instagram every Thursday at 7 p.m. EST in January where a bunch of women get together and share meal ideas. One of my most popular snack requests has been for my Chocolate Nut Shake recipe. This shake is a smooth, creamy blend of nut milk and banana that ends up tasting like a chocolate milkshake only healthier.
What makes it turn out super creamy is the powerful 1200-watt motor and sharp blades on my Nutri Ninja® Nutri Bowl™ DUO. The Nutri Ninja® motor, blades and cup work together to break down the ice, and frozen banana leaving me with a cold creamy shake.
The Nutri Ninja® Nutri Bowl™ DUO comes with Tritan™ Nutri Ninja® Cups with Spout Lids for creating beverages and a 4-cup Nutri Bowl™ processing food. The 4-cup Nutri Bowl™has precision blade for chopping food and a dough blade. Today I’ll be using the Tritan™ Nutri Ninja® cups to create my recipe.
Chocolate Banana Nut Shake
- 1/2 cup of Chocolate Almond Milk
- 1 tablespoon of Peanut Butter
- 1 Frozen Banana
- 1/2 cup of Ice
- Whipped Topping
First I add, in this order, the banana, peanut butter, almond milk and ice the Tritan™Nutri Ninja® cup and attach the Pro Extractor Blades®. I place the cup down into the base and press the “smoothie” button.
The Nutri Ninja® Auto-iQ® Technology has a unique pausing and pulsing pattern that takes the work out of making smoothies. I can just press “smoothie” and the Auto-iQ® Program that does the rest. With the Nutri Ninja® I don’t need to shake, stir or mix after starting the machine. I just turn it on and once it’s done blending it stops.
In seconds I have this delicious smoothie which can be enjoyed straight from the Tritan™ Nutri Ninja® Cups with Spout Lids or poured and garnished.
I like to garnish mine with whipped cream and sprinkles when having this smoothie as a dessert.
To make it healthy, omit the sweet toppings.
