In the last few weeks I’ve been sharing more of my fitness and eating routines on Instagram and it’s really helped keep me accountable to my goals. I had no idea you all would be as excited and want to know more about how I’m taking care of myself. After returning from Kenya, I had to get back into to groove of excercising and eating properly. I had been off my routine for almost two months with the planning and travel. Now that I’m back in the states and have nailed down a routine I want to update you on what’s working. My main health goals are to get back to exercising and get my body back in tip top shape. My stomach had gotten super pudgy from all of the great food we ate in Kenya and I was physically weaker. I could visably see how wide my mid-secion had gotten from eating so much and not exercising. To reverse the minor changes I committed to exercising and to specifically target my tummy I focused on the following habits.
1- Vegetarian Meal Plan
I suffered from a lot of nausea on the flight to and from Kenya so when I got home the first order of business was to get my eating habits back to normal. I decided to eat no meat for a few weeks just to give my tummy time to recalibrate. I’m not sure what was going on, but my stomach was really crampy when I got back from Kenya and eating foods easy to digest helped.
I also started taking two Nature Made® Digestive Probiotics Adult Gummies a day. I figured with all of the travel, new food and change in routine, my stomach was not happy. Probiotics are supposed to add “good” bacteria (similar to those found in fermended foods like yogurt or cheese) to your digestive system.†. Since I was only eating fruit, veggies and legumes when I returned home, using a probiotics supplement was an alternate way to increase the “good” bacteria in my tummy.†

Nature Made® Digestive Probiotics Adult Gummies also has vitamin B12 which supports cellular energy production. There are two flavors in the bottle of gummies, so I just take one of each per day.
3- Water Intake
We were riding hours at a time while in Kenya and the restroom situation was always uncertain so I was not drinking as much water as normal. Being back at home and able to gobble up at least a gallon a day has helped my stomach get back to it’s happy place.
4- Abdominal Exercises
This one was big for me. Being able to start doing my core exercises again solidified this routine. My goal is 300 crunches per day which I try to tackle in the morning when my stomach is empty. After two weeks of this routine, my tummy was feeling better on the inside and looking better on the outside. I was starting to see my abs become more definined and my stomach bulge had shrunk.
