When we entered, we were greeted by a gorgeous sunburst mirror hung above a fireplace. I have sunburst mirrors all over my house and love seeing them used in decor. Just below the mirror was a green pineapple. I’m not sure how it fits with the decor, but pineapples typically mean hospitality and I definitely felt the love when we walked in.
We were taken through a walkway and into the dining room. From the vibrantly painted ceiling in the first section hung more beautiful glass pendant lights which resembled balloons with rubber bands around them.
I love how the transoms with the vases were included in the design of the room divider. Those small openings made everything feel open and airy. That made a huge difference because the place was jammed pack, but it didn’t feel overcrowded.
On our side of the room, the sun was shining brightly through the large windows which is why this next picture is brighter than the last. In the last picture, you see the shades are open. However, ours were drawn and it was still amazingly bright.
With the sun shining directly in our windows, I couldn’t capture pictures of the World Showcase Lagoon, but trust that it was breathtaking to have the view while eating. I was certainly glad we were seated on this side of the room. the sun did allow me to get a great shot of the exposed wood beams, hanging star pendant lights and arched openings.
The sun was coming in so perfectly, I was able to snap this picture of my mini adult people while we waited for dinner.
We ordered two dishes, designed to feed two people per dish. There were five of us and we ended up not eating it all. That wasn’t because it wasn’t delicious, there was just so much.
We ordered La Hacienda and Del Mar.
La Hacienda (Serves 2)
Mixed grill offering New York strip, half a chicken al pastor, chorizos and vegetables, served with beans and fresh salsas
$58.00
Del Mar (Serves 2)
Mixed grill offering shrimp, fish, scallops and vegetables, served with beans and fresh salsas
$58.00
I didn’t know what to think about that corn, but it was the best tasting vegetable on the platter. I don’t know how they made it, but it was so delicious. It looks like they put cheese in it, but that was no cheese I’d ever tasted and it didn’t have the texture of any cheese I’ve ever tasted. Whatever it was, it tasted sweet and creamy. So yum!
Of the two platters, we loved the Del Mar best only because we eat so much chicken at home that nobody wanted any. The chicken on the La Hacienda platter reminded everyone of home because I make chicken 1,000 ways at home and nobody wanted to be reminded of boring home dinner while on vacation. Ha! The steak on the La Hacienda was cooked perfectly and the chorizos were so flavorful.
If I had to all over again, I would order two Del Mar platters. The scallops were tender, and seasoned well. I don’t eat shrimp, but let me say, everyone wanted seconds and the shrimp. The same was the case of the fish. Just flaky, tender and yummy.
We all piled meat and veggies on our plates from both platters. This is my plate minus the black beans and steamed veggies. It has rice, corn, chorizos, steak, chicken, scallop and fish.
We all filled our plates at least twice before everyone started saying they were full. These platters alone are not a whole lot of food, but paired with what seemed to be unlimited rice, black beans, chips, warm soft tacos and salsa we got full fast. Our waiter just kept bringing refills of these sides which was great.
We had an amazing time dining at La Hacienda de San Angel and will definitely return again the next time we are at Disney.

Ooooo now you have me craving Mexican!!! I use to live in Orlando and have been fortunate to dine here many times!
Our family just loves sharing! When I saw the first plate I thought "Who could ever eat all of that?" Love how the servings are for two. With my boys I think we could polish that off!
It certainly is the yummiest place on earth! I haven't eaten there yet, but it sounds and looks like I need to hurry back to Walt Disney World.
Wow! This looks like an amazing place for enjoying some good food! I really like their decor and those hanging star pendant lights are so beautiful! The food looks mouthwatering too!
This looks amazing! Now I'm hungry…haha. I'll definitely be checking this place out for myself if we venture to Disney!
Oh wow! I would really want to visit that place and have a gastronomic experience like no other! The food looks so delicious in your photos, and I can assume they taste heavenly! Hacienda de San Angel is one place we would love to visit over and over again.
I haven't tried many of the World Showcase restaurants so I'm really glad you took us inside to see it all. This looks worth a visit for sure.
Yummy! Everything looks delicious! I will definitely add this to my list of places to check out when we hopefully go to disney next year.
We go to Disney every year and have eaten there many times. It's definitely good authentic Mexican food.
I agree!
Now I want me some Mexican! Food all look yummy!!! Glad to meet you at the event. I still need to post the pictures I took from the conference.
