Roasted Garlic Chicken and Seasoned Rice Wine Vinegar Salad Dressing | New Year, New Me Meal

This post was sponsored by NAKANO® Rice Vinegars as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.  I’ve kicked off the new year by getting back to better eating habits and I’m still going strong. During the holidays I ate every sweet and savory thing I wanted, but once the first week of January rolled around I got back on track with meal planning. Prepping meals ahead has been my number one way to make sure I’m making conscious decisions about what I eat. One of the easiest proteins for me to prep ahead is chicken. When paired with NAKANO® Rice Vinegars it becomes even easier. NAKANO® Rice Vinegars come in several amazing flavors that can be used as a marinade, salad [Click here to continue reading]

New Year Healthy Morning Meal Routine

Okay so I’m not looking too bad for 2+ months out the gym. I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t even try to work out all of winter 2017. Before November even arrived, I’d made up in my mind it was too cold and my schedule was too crazy. After that realization, I quit working out cold turkey so I could enjoy the busyness of the holiday and family. Not having the pressure to stay fit while eating so many delicious fatty foods during the holidays was amazing. Now that the holidays are over I can resume good eating and working out while actually enjoying it. My current weight is 133.5 which is the most I’ve weighed in a while. After thirty or so [Click here to continue reading]

5 Ways to be a “do-it-all” hostess without doing it all

This shop/post has been compensated by Collective Bias, INC. and The Coca-Cola Company, all opinions are mine alone. #KrogerPizzaDeal #CollectiveBias I’m hosting for the holidays, have 6 family birthdays between November 22 and December 25th, plus Christmas shopping, gift wrapping, and a New Year’s Eve dinner. Quarter four of this year is absolutely hectic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. One thing I’ve learned is that family is everything and spending as much time with them especially around the holidays is important. This time of year can be overwhelming with all of the dinners, pot-lucks, and parties, so I try to incorporate convenience meals to lessen the burden. After hours prepping and cooking for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I don’t want to think about [Click here to continue reading]

Thanksgiving Menu, Shopping and Prep List Tutorial

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I know it can be challenging trying to plan and not go crazy. When I first began hosting anything at my house I’d get overwhelmed. But with time and practice, it’s gotten easy and it’s something I look forward to. Today I’m going to show you how I plan our Thanksgiving gathering on paper. This will show you how to map out what to buy and cook leading up to Thanksgiving. It won’t show you how I decorate, but for ideas you can take a look at our Thanksgiving table from last year, my New Years Eve table two years ago, or any of my parties for ideas on how to decorate.  If you are not already subscribed to [Click here to continue reading]

What I love about juicing plus an Energy Drink Recipe

I started juicing about four years ago and I love it. If you watched my LIVE Periscope chat, which I share at the end of this post, you can really tell I do. Juicing did for me what exercise alone wouldn’t. I had just completed a 90-day workout plan but was not happy with the results around my belly.  I was already exercising before starting the plan and hoped to finally get some abs. I was really disappointed and started looking into reasons why my momma belly wouldn’t budge. I was in great shape, but had extra skin and fat hanging around from giving birth to four children. I started doing some research and learned about the benefits of juicing. I borrowed a juicer, gave to a [Click here to continue reading]
