Sparkly Ice-Cream Bars

Frugalistas, let me hip you to an ice-cream dessert that will look like you did something extra special for your guest. I love entertaining, but only if I can do it a way that is not stressful or time consuming.

To make sure entertaining is a stress free process I use high quality store bought items, but add my personal flare to them. My guest always thinks I did something extra special and time consuming because I have a knack for embellishing.

I love creating holiday recipes that are simple and easy for you all to duplicate. This one is super easy and will stand out at your Christmas and New Year’s get together.

What You’ll Need:

  • HÄAGEN-DAZS® Gelato Bars, 3 ct. –caramel vanilla pizzelle Creamy vanilla gelato with 2 golden caramel ribbons, fully dipped in milk chocolate & crunchy Italian style pizzelle cookie pieces
  • Silver sprinkles
  • white chocolate chips
I bought everything I needed from Walmart and it took me about 30 minutes to put this delectable dessert together.
I could have bought cheap-o ice-cream bars, but I felt it would have taken away from the quality flavor of this dessert. HÄAGEN-DAZS® makes the best ice-cream on the market — hands down — so I knew it’s what I’d want for my guests.
Embellishing your HÄAGEN-DAZS® Gelato Bars is a simple two step process once the white chocolate chips are melted.
Once the chocolate has cooled for about 5 minutes, begin dipping your HÄAGEN-DAZS® Gelato Bars into the white chocolate. You can fully submerge them, or only cover a portion.

I decided on covering mine half way. Once you remove the ice-cream bar from the chocolate, let the excess chocolate drip off.

I didn’t wait as long as I should have so I had chocolate dripping into my sprinkle dish.

Once the excess chocolate is off, begin applying the silver sprinkles to the melted chocolate. Be sure to coat it well, then place it on a wax paper cover plate and put it in the freezer.
As I completed each bar, I added it to the plate in the freezer.
You’ll need to let the sprinkles set for about 20 minutes.
The best way to serve these are straight from the freezer on a clean white dish.

Growing up we had Fruit cake for dessert around the holiday and I hated it. I vowed that when I was old enough, I was never eating fruitcake.

These HÄAGEN-DAZS® Gelato Sparkly caramel vanilla pizzelle’s are so much more yummier.

When attending a holiday party what dessert do you hope is there?
