This Perdue Farms Family Bundle Box + Bacon Wrapped Rosemary Pork Chops post is a sponsored post with Perdue Farms. All opinions are mine.
I’m a wife and mom who cooks most of my families meals from scratch. That’s an intentional decision I made many years ago because it was the most cost effective choice for us. The second reason I cook most of our meals from scratch is because it puts the ownership of my families health in my hands based on the ingredients I use. The third reason is to play a part in how my ingredient purchases impact the global community and the planet.
I live in South Carolina where there are an abundance of farmers who grow produce and raise animals so I can eat every meal farm-to-table if I put in the effort. I can drive five minutes away and buy fresh dairy, vegetables and meat that’s been farmed right here in my state.
But what do you do if you live in a community where that’s not and option. We’ll I have a solution for you. Perdue Farms has launched a direct-to-consumer website where you can order premium proteins sourced from local small family farmers. You can order by protein, by brand, or curated bundles. The curated bundles are similar to the box you’ll see in my video below and all Aprons And Stilletos readers get 10% Off + free Perdue Harvestland Diced Chicken Breasts on your first order.
I was so excited when I learned Perdue works with small family farmers to raise animals with care and preserve land. They have a whole section where you can actually learn more about the families Perdue sources from in the following states. Just click here or on the image below to get to know what family farmers participate in areas near you.
So when you’re shopping the grocery store or shopping Perdue Farms’ direct-to-consumer website, you can be more informed about where your food is coming from. Perdue Farms offers a variety of proteins beyond chicken to include bacon, pork and more. You’ll recognize Perdue Farms’ products by acquainting yourself with the following labels. And get this, I just booked a getaway in New Orleans and while researching places to eat, I saw Niman Ranch proteins used in a dish on the menu of a 5-star restaurant I plan to dine at.
Family Bundle of Perdue Farms Proteins
Perdue Farms has worked with small family farmers for 100 years and are very passionate about farming, land preservation and nutritious food. Even their semi prepared foods boast things I look for like No antibiotics! No preservatives! No fillers just 100% chicken!
Perdue Farms sent me the Family Bundle that included something for the kids, something for dinner, breakfast and lunch.
The first thing we tried were the Perdue Panko Breaded Dino Nuggets which were really good baked in the toaster oven. They come out crunchy and the texture of the chicken in perfect. All I did was sprinkle them with a little salt and pair with homemade french fries.
The Perdue Harvestland Diced Chicken Breast were perfect one night when we couldn’t decide what to make for dinner. We have a freezer full of Perdue boneless skinless chicken breast, but the are whole breasts. Being able to pull out two bags of the diced breast was a time saver. I thawed them, coated them with a homemade seasoning mixture and fried them until golden brown.
I have not cooked the breakfast meats yet, but I did make the Niman Pork Chop Bacon Wrap and they were so good. Right out of the package they are ready to cook.
All I did was sprinkle mine with some seasoning and cook them to 145º on a hot grill pan.
With very little effort I had perfectly cooked bacon wrapped pork chops ready for dinner. The best part is the meat was already trimmed, washed, wrapped in bacon, seasoned with rosemary and ready for me to cook.
