Who’s ready for some “one pot meal” inspiration?
Today I’m sharing this easy fall recipe from my menu for three simple reasons.
First, it’s a one pot meal meaning less cleanup afterward.
Second, it’s “make ahead” friendly meaning it can be prepared in advance, then heated when needed.
And third, several of the ingredients are part of the Everyday Delicious promotion running now through 11/6/20 at Publix.
Publix is one of my favorite stores to visit when it’s time to shop for the week. They’re the first grocery store on my way to and from home making the location super convenient.
For this One Pot Tailgate Chili Cheese Dip I grabbed College Inn Savory Infusions Beef and Caramelized Onion Base. All 6-oz College Inn Savory Infusions are $3.99 during the promotion) and Sargento Snack Bites (3 for $10 any Sargento Snack Bites, 6-oz) from the Everyday Delicious promotion at Publix. I also grabbed some fresh produce to garnish the dip with. The dip can be made using canned vegetables, but I prefer using fresh produce in this recipe to add pops of color, fresh flavor and texture.
One Pot Tailgate Chili Cheese Dip
The One Pot Tailgate Chili Cheese Dip starts with fresh ground beef and College Inn Savory Infusions Beef and Caramelized Onion Base. To make the chili base I combine one pound of cooked ground beef with about a 1/2 teaspoon of Savory Infusions Beef and Caramelized Onion Base in a skillet. I let the pan dripping from the beef simmer with the Savory Infusions Beef and Caramelized Onion Base for a few minutes before adding in some canned black beans.
I love how the College Inn Savory Infusions was an easy way to season the dish. The tube already included many of the individual seasonings I planned to add, making it a time saver. The convenient base includes tomato paste, salt, onion powder, garlic spices and many other flavors that make seasoning dishes simpler and prep time shorter.
Once the meat and beans simmered for 5 minutes, I added in two packs of Sargento Snack Bites Sharp White Cheddar + Mild Yellow Cheddar Cheese. The snack bites reduced my prep time since the cheese is pre-cut in bite size cubes. I stuck the entire covered pot in the oven until the cheese melted. Once it was melted, I folded everything together, then topped the dip with diced tomatoes, jalapeños, cilantro and sour cream.
The Everyday Delicious promotion is going on at Publix from 10/24/20 – 11/6/20, so make plans to grab the items I used and make this easy One Pot Tailgate Chili Cheese Dip. You can see the full list of items included in the Everyday Delicious promotion online here or get the Extra Savings flyer in-store at the entryway kiosk or customer service desk. When shopping, look for the at-shelf signs located throughout the store which highlight the savings during the promotion.
It’s always a pleasure shopping at Publix and sharing sneak peeks of what’s going on in my kitchen. I hope you enjoy this time saving one pot dip or tailgate dish.
If you make it and share it online tag @apronsandstilletos so I can see it.
