My Weekend in Virginia Fashion Look Book

I spent a wonderful weekend away in Glen Allen, a small suburb in Richmond, Virginia. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’d never been there. We were heading up for a family reunion and they weather was unseasonable hot. Since it would be hot I packed some super light weight pieces to wear.

The second day of the family reunion everyone headed to the mall at Short Pump Town Center for shopping and lunch. The temperature was about 97 degrees and I felt really cool in this sheer sequined tank top and ruffled skirt. I love the sparkle on this tank. It makes a typically tank top and bottoms look more glamorous. The front of the tank is completely sheer, so I wore a spaghetti strap tank top underneath. This was the perfect outfit for the weather and this mall.

The mall was an outdoor mall which I was concerned about with the temperature being so high, but the breezeways were covered and shaded.

There were rock ponds and so many fun places to let my daughter practice her photography. The mall had this neat chess board, in one of the courtyards. I though the pieces would be heavy, but they were actually very light.

There were so many beautiful spots in Short Pump Town Center. I’m looking to returning next year for our family reunion and to taking more pictures at this mall.

      1. I often wear black as well, it's my safe color. I really like how you put this together, it's perfect for a day out and that necklace is stunning, it adds charm to the entire outfit!

      2. I love your top–and even more so because it is light and airy (even if you have to wear something underneath it).

      3. Looks and sounds like you had a great time! I would love to do something like this. You had the most gorgeous outfit! – Jeanine

      4. I love your outfit! You look gorgeous! Also seems like a fun place!

      5. Love your outfit! That necklace looks awesome. I would want to try to challenge my hubby in a game of chess in that giant chess board! Oh how fun it would be! I will have to remember to check this mall out if and when I get the chance to visit Virginia.

      6. That giant chess board is neat! The first thing I thought of when I saw the picture is wizard's chess from Harry Potter.
