We’ve been soaking up every bit of summer this year. Whether vacations or staycations, library trips or pool days, we are ringing every bit of summer fun out that we can.
With that being said, all of this ripping and running has me feeling my age. It’s brought to my attention the fact that I’m getting old so I decided to slow the pace down this week.
Today was supposed to be our library day but I decided to cross that off the calendar in lieu of brunch at home.
For the table setting I wanted to use mirrors as the centerpiece and place settings. It’s what we used for my wedding tablescape 14 years ago. I wasn’t sure how it would look until I got it all laid out, but I absolutely loved it.
smoothie
- 1 medium avocado
- 2 frozen bananas
- 3 packets of Sweet’N Low® zero calorie sweetener
- 1 cup of plain Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 cup of 100% apple or orange juice
- 1/2 cups of plain Greek Yogurt
- Cinnamon
- 1 pack of Sweet’N Low®
I used Sweet’N Low® in place of sugar to add a little bit of sweetness for them, but since it’s a zero calorie sweetener, there were no unwanted calories added for me.
2. In small cup or bowl, combine one pack of Sweet’N Low® and a 1/2 cup of plain Greek Yogurt.
3. Pour the smoothie into four small glasses and top with the Greek Yogurt sweetened with Sweet’N Low® and sprinkle some cinnamon on top.
My boys loved the smoothies, while my daughter who is a super picky eater at least liked it.

Sweet N' Low is like one of the worst things you can eat, linked to many health problems! I bet you would find you didn't even need the extra sweetener with the juice and banana, I use just a half a banana in my smoothies and no juice and it's still pretty sweet.
I'm sure it would taste great with or without sweetener.
