Today’s High Puff with Tribal Headband is inspired by my recent travel to Kenya. The country is so vibrant and colorful y’all. Everywhere you look from the city to the bush are bright, bold colors. The chocker I’m wearing is one of two I bought while there and the headband was a gift from a friend. She spent time in Africa and gifted me some fabric. Mine is straight from the ‘Mother Land’, but there are some gorgeous patterns here.
To create the puff I started with freshly washed and blowdried hair. I use the tension method and my hairdryer set on medium heat to dry my hair. It involves gently stretching my hair and drying it. Do y’all see that shrinkage?
Once my hair is completely dry, I make a small part in the very front, right in the center of my forehead. I brush just the front of my hair away from the part. Next the sides and back are brushed towards the center and then my hair is secured with this flexible no-slip headband.
Once my puff is secure, I tie my fabric around my puff ending with my bow at the front. The fabric sets off this whole look. I thought the chocker would clash with it, but instead it makes the entire look ‘pop’. I’d love for y’all to share this post on Facebook or Pinterest. It’s super easy!
