DIY Mini Cookie Stand

I was going to share a yummy dessert recipe this week, but I finally got my hands on the NEW OREO Thins. I’ve been wanting to try the mint flavored, because I love anything mint flavored. The OREO Thins come in mint, golden and original, just like the ones I had growing up. The biggest difference is that these are thin and crispy like a potato chip style cookie.

We love eating cookies so I decided to make mini cookie stands and share a quick and easy tutorial with you.

Any standard size cookie will fit on these mini cookie stands. In fact, you can put other desserts on them like cake pops or cupcakes. I plan on making at least a dozen mini cookie stands to use when we have guest over.

For the purpose of this tutorial, I’m using OREO Thins in mint and original.

I was preparing for my husband and I to have our monthly budget meeting and thought this would be a cute way to set them out along side our budget sheets.

The OREO Thins have the same sweet taste as the originals, but the thin crispy cookie and sliver of sweet cream makes it feel more like a grown up dessert.

Making the mini cookie stands is very easy to do. All you’ll need are pre-cut wood circles and mini wood candlestick holders from the craft store. You’ll also need paint and a hot glue gun.

Since this was my first time making these I went with white.

I spray painted the wood circles and mini wood candlestick holders with white spray paint and hot glued on piece to the other once the paint was dry.

It wasn’t hard to do and I made six of them in about 20 minutes.

If you’re wondering where to find OREO Thins, you can find them at CVS in mint, original and vanilla flavor. My CVS is open 24 hours so anytime I get a craving, I can pick up a pack.

The OREO Thins mint flavor are my new favorite dessert cookie. Which OREO flavor are you going to try first?
