I have been planning to spruce up my night stand drawers ever since I bought them and revealed how they look in my bedroom.

One thing I know about nightstand tables and even end tables is that they can get pretty junky if they aren’t given a purpose.

You’ve seen how I keep my end table drawers neat, so today I’ll show you how I decorate and use one of my night stand drawers. Using just a little bit of pretty contact paper…

…a planner and snacks, I’ll show you how I created my daily planing drawer.

The first thing I did was vacuum the drawer. There is nothing fun about installing contact paper with crumbs or lint on your project surface.

Next, I measured the length and width of bottom of my drawer. I added a half inch to each measurement in case I measured wrong.

Then I marked my measurements of on the back of my contact paper using the grid as my guide.

Using scissors I cut out my contact paper. A better tool would be a craft knife which I don’t own.

Now comes the tricky part. Contact paper never goes on smooth for me the first time. There is always a process of sticking, lifting and smoothing that takes place until all of the wrinkles and air bubbles have disappeared.

Once that’s done you can use a box cutter or craft knife to cut away any excess contact paper around the edges.

Since I’m using my drawer for storing my daily planning supplies it had to include snacks.

So I picked up a few goodies from Walmart to store in my drawer.
I like to drink a cup of coffee if I’m planning my schedule in the morning and chocolate for when I’m planning my schedule at night.

I bought some Skinny Cow® Blissful Truffle Candy Bars, which comes in two flavors – milk chocolate and dark chocolate and two bottles of Skinny Cow® Mocha Latte Creamy Iced Coffee from Walmart. The reason you only see one is because my darling husband drank my other one. That happens when you put snacks in your nightstand drawer and not his.

A box of the Skinny Cow® Vanilla Almond Crunch Bars also found it’s way into my cart for our dessert.

The final touch for my daily planning drawer is a pad, my planning journal and a pen. Everything I need to plan my day before things get hectic are right here beside my bed.

It’s so calming to sit and organize the day on paper while sipping a Skinny Cow® Mocha Latte Creamy Iced Coffee. It’s too hot for hot coffee now so the sweet creamy cold Skinny Cow® coffees do the trick.

In the evenings, I can pull out my journal and a chocolatey truffle candy bar while checking off what I accomplished and then organize my priorities for the next day.
