Cauliflower Pizza Crust Recipe

Cauliflower Pizza is my new favorite way to enjoy a delicious slice of pizza and work more vegetables into my meals.

Making the pizza has become Babe and I’s new date night thing. Instead of eating out, we usually make this pizza.

To make the crust you’ll need a food processor. You’ll never get the cauliflower chopped small enough without a food processor it unless you spend a ridiculous amount of time chopping it by hand.

The first thing I do with my head of cauliflower it roughly chop it into quarters. Next, I pulse small batches of it in my food processor until the cauliflower is fine and crumbly. The cauliflower will stick to your hands without one of these to get it out of the food processor and into a large bowl.

Next, I cover my large bowl with a clean kitchen towel and microwave the cauliflower on high for one minute. Then I let it cool. While I prep any toppings we plan to add. Babe loves sausage while I typically go meatless with lots of veggies.

Using a kitchen towel or cheesecloth squeeze as much of the liquid from the cauliflower as I can a little bit at a time.

Once all of your cauliflower is squeezed as dry as possible, I create the cauliflower pizza dough using the recipe below.

You’ll Need:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of Italian season
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • a few sprinkles of cayenne pepper


  1. Add all of those ingredients to the bowl, and using the one of these, begin mixing everything together.
  2. Next, line your pizza pan with parchment paper, then use your rubber spatula to scrap everything from the bowl onto the paper.
  3. Using your rubber spatula or your hands, begin pressing and forming the cauliflower mixture to the circumference of the pan.
  4. Now its time to brown your crust. Pop this in the oven on 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Take it out and add your desired topping and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

This pizza is absolutely delicious and way better for your waistline than traditional pizza with a flour crust.
