Most Exciting Rides for Tweens and Teens at Walt Disney World

For some reason I thought as my kids got older vacationing would get boring because they’d feel like they were too old for certian activities, but boy was I wrong. We took my 15, 13 and 12 year old to Disney World thinking they wouldn’t have a good time and they loved it. We’d gone to Disney a few years ago when they were still in elementary and only visited Magic Kingdom. We’d gone for Christmas thinking the weather would be amazing, but there was a terrible cold snap and we froze our buns off at the park. This time, we got to visit all of the parks and my kids fell in love with Disney even though they arent little kids. If you’re taking [Click here to continue reading]

How we savor time with our teens before they ship off to school

This is a sponsored post written in partnership with Michelin. All opinions are mine. Over the next five years we’re savoring as much time with our teens as possible before they graduate.  Right now we have two teens and the oldest graduates in two years. He’s decided to attend school out of state and that means we’ll see less of him.  Knowing he leaves in two years, makes me more intentional about savoring time as a family. Connecting with my kids is really important especially since they’re get closer to being adults. Spending time with my kids comes natural. Some of our best moments have been while playing games together, making food and traveling. We especially love to travel and try to visit somewhere fun every [Click here to continue reading]

What to expect when dining at La Hacienda de San Angel Restaurant in Epcot’s World Showcase

On my list of things to do at Walt Disney World for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was eat. It was just a few short days after accepting the coveted invite to DisneySMMC, that my dining plan was mapped out. One of the restaurants I had to visit was La Hacienda de San Angel. La Hacienda de San Angel means “The Ranch of the Angel” and is located in Epcot’s World Showcase, directly across from the Mexico Pavilion pictured below. The structure resembles the Aztec Temple of feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl at Teotihuacan, Mexico.  The front of La Hacienda de San Angel is decorated in traditional Mexico style and colors. I was amazed by all of the detail given to the colors used, stone work, wrought iron, doors and [Click here to continue reading]

5 Things I Do After Every Vacation

We just got home from one of the most amazing social media celebration of the year. Not only did we just return home, but we are planning our next vacation to Virginia in a couple of weeks.  When we return from vacation there is a re-entry period where we transition from vacation mode back into our regular routine. It’s usually the first 24-48 hours after returning home where we slowly work our way back into our daily routines.  There are five things that we do after every single vacation no matter what and I want to share them with you. Hopefully, you can get some ideas on how to make your vacation re-entry period a smoother process. 1. Tackle Vacation Clothes I like to begin dealing with our laundry situation [Click here to continue reading]

Disney Baby Bib Bouquet Tutorial

My #MagicBabyMoments Disney Baby Bib Bouquet tutorial and  shopping trip has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #CollectiveBias My friend had the most adorable baby girl a month ago and I wanted to make something extra special for her using something from the oh-so-cute Disney Baby line at Walmart.  There were so many cute items, but for my bouquet I needed something really small. I ended up choosing these adorable Disney Baby bibs.  There are a lot of Disney products on the market, however the new line has the green Disney castle and wording. For the tutorial I used:  2 Disney Baby 6pk bibs 12 large popsicle sticks floral tape 5 inch foam ball medium flower pot [Click here to continue reading]
