I’ve been loving the freedom that comes with having shorter hair and I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts. When my hair isn’t in a protective style, it’s usually worn in a blowout or twist out. When I do twist out, I can start with wet or dry hair depending on the look I’m going for. This one was done on wet hair which results in a smaller afro and tighter coiled hair.
After my wash routine, I towel dried my hair and did the L.O.C. method for moisture. L.O.C. is an acronym for Leave-in-Conditioner, Oil, and Cream. With the L.O.C. method, I saturate my hair with my leave in, then use coconut oil to seal in the moisture and work the cream into my hair as I style it.
For this style, I braided my hair in six cornrows and covered my hair with a satin scarf. When I was ready to style my hair, I unraveled each braid and using a pick, fluffed my hair until I had the shape I wanted.
Once my hair was styled, I applied my makeup and a fun new lipstick color from the Rimmel London Matte Lipsticks. They come in 10 NEW matte shades:
- Leader of The Pink
- Call The Shots,
- High Flyer
- Take The Stage
- Keep It Coral
- Look Who’s Talking
- Run The Show
- The Matte Factory
