Best Way To Manage Bladder Leaks and Still Be Flawless

Ladies, can we talk candidly? I’ve shared on several occasions issues that many of us experience, ranging from hair loss, to body image and bladder leak issues.

Why do I share? I share because I want you to know that these issues are real, they are normal and you aren’t the only woman experiencing them.

We’re all in this together so we need to support and encourage one another through these experiences. Our friends should not feel embarrassed to talk to us about normal women’s issues and vice versa.

Becoming vulnerable enough to discuss these subjects with women can be hard, but true friends, on and offline, will be supportive. Many of you were super supportive when I shared my struggle with hair loss and greys. That let me know I could keep it real with you about any women’s issues including bladder leaks.

Whether we’re experiencing thinning hair or bladder leaks, we can still be amazingly flawless! Our flawlessness isn’t connected to everything about us being perfect. It’s about embracing our bodies as they change, no matter what season of life we’re in.

During and after my pregnancies, I had stress incontinence, bladder leaks big time. Stress incontinence is when you experience bladder leaks while coughing, sneezing or laughing, mostly caused by pregnancy. I didn’t get down on myself and start dressing frumpy. I embraced the season of motherhood and its challenges. At that time, I didn’t know there were Always Discreet products to help. My solution was to either stay home or wear a panty liner and plan my outings around places that had restrooms for my frequent need to go.

Nowadays, Always Discreet has products specifically for light to heavy bladder leaks that protect in a way that period pads and liners don’t. The products are perfect for fashionistas like us because they super thin and don’t look bulky under our clothes.

Best Way To Manage Bladder Leaks and Still Be Flawless

With Always Discreet, we can choose from liners and pads in addition to bladder leak underwear.

The difference in the Always Discreet products and other bladder protection products is that these are super thin and don’t make you feel or look like you’re wearing a pad or diaper. The Double LeakGuards™ prevents leaks at the leg where they happen most. The 360 FormFit™ design hugs your curves for a smooth fit unlike bulky adult diapers. Fear of leaks can’t stop us from looking flawless, once we are aware of the solutions available to us.

Other types of incontinence are urge incontinence — when you have a strong need to urinate but can’t reach the toilet in time and mixed incontinence — a combination of both urge and stress incontinence symptoms.

The women in my family experience a mix of all three types, so whenever I see a sale, I grab a package or two for them. In our family, we are very candid about women’s issues and refuse the let them stop us from being flawless.

You can find all of the Always Discreet products listed below at the feminine care aisle at most retailers and there are coupons here.

  1. I am glad that Always has a product for varying needs. Although I do not suffer from bladder leakage, I am still glad that if and when that time comes, I have Always to help me through.

  2. I come from a time where there weren’t many choices in types of pads and they were all big and really easy to spot. I love that they’re thinner and discrete now.

  3. I used Always growing up, had no idea they still had options out there for us older women. As I age and after 3 kids, I certainly know my bladder isn’t what it used to be for sure.

  4. I love that Always is still a trusted brand and can help us as we age and our bladder stops liking us 🙂 Great to share this post with other women, I am glad to hear that Always is still out there being awesome.

  5. This is one of those things nobody informed me about before I had kids! I still struggle with this and I love Poise products.

  6. I know a lot of people who have problems after they have kids with incontinence. These look like a great option. I remember being pregnant and peeing a little every time I laughed. It sucked. Thanks for sharing

  7. The joys of aging, especially after having kids. It’s wonderful to know there are discreet products that won’t inhibit our look or our ability to rule the day.

  8. These sound so great. I will keep them in mind if I ever need them!

  9. This is definitely a common issue for women. It’s good to be able to handle leaks and get out there and be as active as you want!

    1. It’s also great that they make products for varying degrees of incontinence. Everyone can feel confident and flawless!

  10. During and after my pregnancies, I also found myself dealing with stress incontinence. If I sneeze without crossing my legs, I usually end up peeing a little. So annoying! Coverage is definitely necessary to prevent embarrassing leaks!

  11. Thank you for the helpful tips. I know that after having a baby, those large pads were very helpful.

  12. I love that these are just what they’re named – they’re discrete. They’re so needed by a lot of us (and I do not miss THAT part of pregnancy!)

  13. I had no idea that Always makes these!! It is amazing how this is such a taboo topic for so many still even though its still common. I have to say Maxi dresses are my go to for feeling flawless.

  14. There is a whole group of ladies in my zumba class who sigh really loudly when a song with jumps in it comes on. Glad there are options for them!!
