I asked on my Facebook page if women thought it was selfish to plan time for themselves and the answers were about fifty-fifty.

I am one of the women who don’t think time to myself is selfish. In fact, my husband and I agree it’s important.

Having time when I don’t have to think about the needs of my kids or husband gives me time to take inventory of my spiritual, mental, physical and emotional well being.

One thing I love to do during my me time is taking a hot bubble bath. It’s just so relaxing.

To set the stage for a relaxing spa like experience I make sure to keep the following things on hand.

Candles during my bath time are a must. When the bathroom gets all steamy and those sweet smelling candles help me forget all about the funky garbage my son’s neglected to take out. Candles are an inexpensive way to awaken your senses. There are so many scents to choose from and can be found for around a dollar each.

I prefer loofahs over washcloths for bath time because I prefer to use body washes over bar soap. Loofahs are another thing you can find for around a dollar and they come in so many colors and sizes.

I like to store mine in a glass hurricane jar so I can easily choose a pretty color for my bath.

Body Wash

I switch my body wash out monthly and right now I’m using the new Softsoap Fresh & Glow Exfoliating Fruit Polish Body Wash and Softsoap Fresh & Glow Hydrating Shower Cream Body Wash.

I picked them up at Walmart when I saw they contained 100% real extracts like jojoba, Orange & Kiwi.

Both of these smell absolutely amazing and leaves my skin feeling so soft after a hot bath. Plus, they are not expensive at all.

I paid the cost of the two body washes, but you could easily put a frugal spa day routine together for under $5.

    5. Lately I have been carving out time for myself by being mindful of my health and going to the gym. A nice Soft-soap bath would be a great way to conclude gym time.

    6. I have used this brand in handsoap. However, I have sensitive skin so I wonder how the body wash would cause my skin to react. I agree though, candles are a must when looking to have a relaxing bath.

    18. I hardly ever take a bath but the other night after a rough day with my little one, I got in the bath and read my favorite book. It was AMAZING. I didn't have any candles around but I put a few drops of essential oils which made the atmosphere calm too.

    19. I use SoftSoap hand soap, but have never tried one of their body washes. I will pick one up, though 🙂
