In the last few weeks I’ve been sharing more of my fitness and eating routines on Instagram and it’s really helped keep me accountable to my goals. I had no idea you all would be as excited and want to know more about how I’m taking care of myself. After returning from Kenya, I had to get back into to groove of excercising and eating properly. I had been off my routine for almost two months with the planning and travel.4 Ways to Care for Your Tummy from the Inside OutNow that I’m back in the states and have nailed down a routine I want to update you on what’s working. My main health goals are to get back to exercising and get my body back in tip top shape. My stomach had gotten super pudgy from all of the great food we ate in Kenya and I was physically weaker. I could visably see how wide my mid-secion had gotten from eating so much and not exercising. To reverse the minor changes I committed to exercising and to specifically target my tummy I focused on the following habits.

 

1- Vegetarian Meal Plan

I suffered from a lot of nausea on the flight to and from Kenya so when I got home the first order of business was to get my eating habits back to normal. I decided to eat no meat for a few weeks just to give my tummy time to recalibrate. I’m not sure what was going on, but my stomach was really crampy when I got back from Kenya and eating foods easy to digest helped.

2- Probiotics

3- Water Intake

4- Abdominal Exercises

This one was big for me. Being able to start doing my core exercises again solidified this routine. My goal is 300 crunches per day which I try to tackle in the morning when my stomach is empty.   1. My husband has a tough time digesting certain things, so I think these probiotics would be perfect for him. I must get him some.

  2. My son has been having a terrible time with his gut. I just read that black and green tea helps your gut’s “brain” connect with your real brain. I wonder if tea in addition to probiotics would help?
